This piece is a zoomed in continuation of "Blooming Panic" but here the eye becomes the whole point. I wanted it to feel too close to ignore.
It is the evil eye that is watching. I kept thinking about why humans cling to it when fear shows up. It is called evil, but it is not. It is meant to push evil away. That contradiction is what I was exploring, because the need for protection usually comes from the same place as fear. In this piece, the eye becomes a shield and a mirror at the same time, reflecting what people are scared of even as they ask it to guard them.
