This piece is built around the idea that the truth sits between the lines. I layered newspaper onto the surface and wrote in Arabic that the story lies between the lines, then placed a cutout of baby me in sunglasses searching for what is being hidden. The sunglasses are both protection and sarcasm, mocking the attempt to blind me. It is called Breaking news because what is hidden and what is revealed can still land personally, and children often see more than adults admit.
